PAIA Manual
This Manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 ("PAIA") for Forged In Fitness (Pty) Ltd. PAIA gives effect to the constitutional right of access to any information held by the State and any information that is held by another person and that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.
1. Introduction
Forged In Fitness (Pty) Ltd conducts business as an online fitness platform provider. This manual serves to facilitate requests for access to records held by the company.

3. The Guide on how to use PAIA
The Information Regulator has, in terms of section 10(1) of PAIA, as amended, updated and made available the revised Guide on how to use PAIA, in an easily comprehensible form and manner, as may reasonably be required by a person who wishes to exercise any right contemplated in PAIA and POPIA.
The Guide is available in each of the official languages and can be obtained from the Information Regulator's website athttps://inforegulator.org.za/paia-guidelines/.
4. Records available in terms of other legislation
Where applicable, records are kept in accordance with the following legislation:
- Companies Act 71 of 2008
- Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013
- Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002
- Income Tax Act 58 of 1962
- Value Added Tax Act 89 of 1991
5. Subjects and Categories of Records held
We hold the following categories of records:
- Corporate Records: Documents of incorporation, minutes of meetings, share register.
- Financial Records: Annual financial statements, tax returns, accounting records, banking records.
- Human Resources: Personnel files, employment contracts, payroll records (where applicable).
- Client/User Records: Registration details, fitness data shared by users, transaction history.
- Technical Records: Systems logs, infrastructure documentation.
6. Processing of Personal Information (POPIA)
In terms of POPIA, we are required to describe how personal information is processed. Please refer to ourPrivacy Policy for detailed information on:
- The purpose of processing;
- Categories of data subjects and their personal information;
- The recipients to whom personal information may be supplied;
- Planned transborder flows of personal information; and
- Security measures to ensure confidentiality and integrity.
7. Procedure for Requesting Access to Information
A requester must be given access to a record of a private body if the record is required for the exercise or protection of any rights. To request access to a record, the requester must:
- Complete our Online Legal Request Form (Electronic Form 2), or obtain a physical Form 2 from the Information Regulator website.
- Submit the form electronically via the website or to the Information Officer at the email address provided in Section 2.
- Provide sufficient detail to enable the Information Officer to identify the record and the requester.
- Identify the right the requester is seeking to exercise or protect and provide an explanation of why the requested record is required for the exercise or protection of that right.
Identification: We will require proof of identity before processing any request for access to records to prevent unauthorised disclosure of information.
8. Prescribed Fees
PAIA provides for two types of fees: a request fee and an access fee. The request fee is a standard fee and the access fee is calculated based on the cost of reproduction, search, and preparation time. Requesters will be notified of the exact fees payable upon submission of a request.
